This is an ancient Greek warrior according to Christopher Nolan.

Imagine an Odyssey: >Spoken in ancient greek >Recorded with historically accurate armor >With greeks cast in it >No cringe rap videos >Actually loyal to the source material Elon Musk might make this a reality by funding Gibson

LA's got five 70mm IMAX theaters and some dude in Whitefish has gotta make a literal odyssey to see this movie

Florence Pugh reveals the camera broke during her and Cillian Murphy’s intimate scene in Oppenheimer, leaving them stuck on set waiting for repairs. “In the middle of our sex scene, the camera broke. No one knows this, but it did.” “Our camera broke when we were both naked, and it was not ideal timing.” Pugh said the closed set made the situation awkward, with her and Murphy having to wait while the crew fixed the equipment. Instead of sitting silently, she turned the unexpected pause into a learning moment: “So tell me, what’s wrong with this camera?” Director Christopher Nolan later explained the issue involved the way light was entering the camera. Pugh said the experience showed how passionate and skilled the entire Oppenheimer crew was, describing every moment on set as a privilege.

The show won't work. It'll collapse, or be cancelled. Essiedu (Snape) is already receiving death threats before a single episode has aired. An Italian actress has been cast as Parvati Patil, a canonically Indian character. Stanton's parents had to disable all of their daughter's social media within an hour of her casting announcement due to racism and, again, death threats. She is eleven years old and already articles dissecting her skin colour have since been written. The cast is already fracturing. Lithgow nearly quit over Rowling. Nick Frost publicly distanced himself from her views. Essiedu signed an open letter supporting trans people, while playing a character in a show exec produced by Britain's most prominent anti-trans voice. The show is also biannual, not annual. Season one arrives Christmas 2026. Deathly Hallows, if they get there, lands around 2040. John Lithgow will be 95, almost guaranteeing he'll die during filming, much like Richard Harris died aged 72 after just two films. The story itself is a now a logistical trap. A Black Snape being hung upside down by the Marauders, spending years fighting for blood purity, then dying for the cause of a white woman he loved. Those scenes cannot be written cleanly anymore. Every choice will generate a fresh brand new controversy from absolutely every angle and political sphere. This franchise requires a sustained decade of audience goodwill to function. That goodwill simply does not exist anymore, as her base is now the most vitriolic, toxic abusers, a narrative at some point (if not already, seemingly) HBO Max will have to adresss. The three child leads have not signed long-term contracts. What happens when they're 18, 19, 20, with fully formed opinions about the woman whose name is on the tin? The magic is a dead horse.

I feel like a lot of fem gays are really invested in the idea that masc gays are in some sense performing that, or defying a natural femininity that’s otherwise endemic to gay men particularly. Bc a lot of them have highkey gender essentialist ideas about being a gay male.

Let me get this straight: A VTuber is publicly calling an artist “unprofessional” and claiming the artist “cost themselves a commission,” even though the artist politely declined the job after spotting a clear conflict of values. In reality, the artist acted professionally by refusing work they couldn’t support in good conscience, while the VTuber decided it was a good idea to air their grievances on Twitter.

I really don’t think Christopher Nolan blames himself or even really cares about starting the superhero movie rush, that’s something people online want him to apologize for. he treated Oppenheimer like a superhero in that movie with a suiting up scene and everything

Big discovery on Rotten Tomatoes for The Odyssey. The real audience score is sitting at 56%, not the fake 97% they’re showing with their “Verified Audience” bullshit. A r/KotakuInAction user figured out how to see the actual numbers behind RT’s manipulation. Exactly what we’ve been saying. Real people are dragging this butchered mess, but Rotten Tomatoes is bending over backwards to protect it. Classic.
