We left Tokyo very early this morning. We’re now on a Shinkansen Sakura superexpress bound for Hakata. Feel the speed of Shinkansen! #untmij2018

Because I didn’t sleep at all on the night before leaving for Japan, I was able to sleep five hours in total — five sets of about an hour — during my flights from DFW to Vancouver to Osaka. I feel great! #untmij2018

Kansai International Airport. I missed a train, so it’ll take four more hours to reach Hiroshima-shi (city) where my sister and her husband live. 😩 #untmij2018

My flight just landed in Japan. We’d been flying over the Pacific for 10 hours. It was quick! But I’m not at Narita; I’m at the Kansai International Airport. I’ll take a rapid train from the airport to Shinosaka, and then a Shinkansen bullet train from Shinosaka to Hiroshima!
