It genuinely pisses me off how mindless the AI hate is. these people are literally retarded, using AI is one of the best things to happen to game preservation, those idiots don’t realize how tedious and annoying this re/decomp stuff is. the bulk of the work is just grinding instruction translations whether it’s CPU or Shaders. This is quite literally against “creative” this is solely is just scrolling a manual to see what X does and replicate it. This is basically getting mad at someone for using grok translation on tweets instead of opening a dictionary and doing it manually. I genuinely don’t get why do you expect someone to spend a few months doing this manually for free when it can be done in a few mins or hours???? coding AI isn’t generative and it will always be used in such projects going forward, so cope harder and deal with it for the sake of both of us.

Nobody is getting paid to do that.
And almost everyone I’ve talked to who has done it, while saying working with people is nice, actually doing the work sucked. It’s just a time sink and it’s not creative.
