2026 is looking to be a fun year for video games. I am going to make a thread of all the games I beat this year. Here are some of the highlights I am looking forward to, plus many more to be played.

If you're a grown man playing video games for more than 5 hours a week, your wife is definitely checked out of the marriage. Put the controller down and go build something or play with your kids. it’s embarrassing.

@MrSantiZap First thing that comes to mind is the lack of brand new world champions. I started in the ruthless agression era where they had tons of new guys win the big titles. Seems like they might be fixing that soon though.

@DiegoGames29 I streamed on Twitch for 5 years. I did hit affiliate, but only because I got a large raid. Outside of raids I never hit the 3 average viewers.

Crazy it’s been 5 years since I started streaming and still not affiliated I will not stop anytime soon I will make this happen someday

I went to California and all I got was this lousy anterior discectomy. 😆 I have so much I want to say about the past 8 months but we can get to that later. For now, I just want to express my endless love and gratitude for every single soul that has helped me and cared for me during this difficult and really scary time. Pain and heartbreak are incredible teachers and the lessons I have learned from this will stay with me forever. I am so grateful to wake up from surgery already feeling better and I know I am coming out the other side of this so much stronger for the experience. Lots of love P x

@TheGingerPerks I am actually planning on playing my first final fantasy game this year. I got games 1-6 pixel remasters and going to start with those.

Final fantasy fans, should I play all of them, and start at 1? The only ones I’ve played are 10, 12 and 13 (tho I didn’t like 13 much at all). Which Final Fantasy is your fave?

#9 Cat Quest 1 This was a fun little quirky RPG about cats, any game with cats is good. It had a nice level gain through quest boards, I never had to grind on random enemies over and over again. Great balance. Battles were fun and nothing was overly difficult.

#8 Lara Croft Guadian of Light This was a surprisingly good game. Great movement, fun combat and interesting boss fights. Not a super difficult game, but there is a hard difficulty you can turn on if you want. Very happy I decided to play it.

@ReAnimateHer_ @rumblevideo I decided I am going to start posting my full playthroughs of games on Rumble. It is not going to hurt to give it a shot.

Look I LOVE @rumblevideo as a platform. Yes you can be monetized in day 1. I create content every day on this platform long, short & VoD. Rumble has a lot of work to do in order to be on the same level or over YT but it is still a platform that you should look at. You won't make mega $$ if you don't put the work in and that's on any platform @chrispavlovski @GamingOnRumble

@Dexerto Twitch has it where the stream shrinks, but doesnt mute the stream audio. I dont mind those, but muting the stream would be annoying.

YouTube’s new ads are disrupting livestreams by shrinking the video and playing beside it The ads can mute the livestream audio while they play, and some users are also seeing more ads while scrolling through subscriptions on mobile

@ChoctopusYT I do variety, knowing that I wouldnt be a huge creator quickly. I am just not the type of person who can play the same game, and only that game, for years. I am happy with my channel growth though and enjoying the process.

I jumped several niches before I was able to comfortably do variety content. My strategy was to sandwich new stuff in between what my audience is looking for. It's not going to work immediately so don't let it discourage you. For example: I grew from 500 subs to about 8K playing a mobile game called Pokémon Duel (RIP) but, when Smash Ultimate was coming out, I knew I wanted to make content on it. I actually did much worse than my Duel videos at first. In 2020, I knew Smash couldn't be my entire channel's identity because updates would eventually end, I wasn't creative enough/good enough at the game to keep playing it and tbh I wasn't having fun. I started uploading Mario Odyssey episodes in between Smash videos because I felt that was a pretty safe start. They were ALL 10/10s at first. At the end, I cut them all together. Now, a 2-hour Mario video can do 200K in a week for me.

@ChoctopusYT I'm just worried about YouTube saying something about "reused content". I remember them warning me about that when I got monetized.

Never be afraid to repurpose content that you worked hard to make. A lot of creators don't want to see the scarlet 10/10 on an upload but, if done strategically, it can help pad out time while you work on new videos. I dropped this video a few days ago. It's a repackage of my 100% Mario Wonder and 100% Bellabel Park videos with new bumpers, etc. From the outside, considering my sub count, it looks like it bombed. However, it helped pull in 59 new people that weren't subbed before. These are the kinds of moves that help build your catalogue and income base. A video like this is a long-term play.

@Horror_Hellfire I loved Metroid Prime 4, I dont think I even noticed their wasnt much music in the desert. I dont think it really needed it becuase you were not in the desert for long periods of time.

Did we forget that you have to buy an amiibo to get music in Metroid Prime 4?
