El autor de Kamiina Botan tuvo que dar la cara luego de que todo internet acusara a su tercer episodio de tener una animación desastrosa. El autor 'HEY' aclaró que la repentina caída de calidad visual no se debió a que el estudio se quedara sin dinero ni a problemas de producción, sino que fue una "decisión artística" y experimental 100% intencional. La serie no se quedó sin presupuesto. Simplemente decidió verse así.
