This morning punk legend @spizzenergi was on @BBCBreakfast talking about a house built in a skip. Not sure if reporter Tim Moffat realised he had the Where’s Captain Kirk singer in this report.

Sad news Wilko Johnson has passed away. 2 years ago Wilko kindly spent an afternoon looking back on his life for our podcast. At the time he was shielding & his frustration at being shut away was evident. Thankfully he got the chance to play gigs again RIP open.spotify.com/episode/4PPuY2…

Wilko Johnson was a precursor of punk. His guitar playing was angry and angular, but his presence - twitchy, confrontational, out of control - was something we'd never beheld before in UK pop. Rotten, Strummer and Weller learned a lot from his edgy demeanour. He does it right RIP

Sad news to hear about the passing of Keith Levene. Lucky enough to have had the opportunity to talk to him about his career with PiL and early days with The Clash and Flowers of Romance. A fascinating fella & an excellent guitarist who knew how to push the envelope. RIP Keith
