It's a cross chain world. We're gonna help you trade all assets on all chains with 1 smooth app.
@leap_xyz DM wallet addresses and we will take a look into any discrepancies you guys are concerned about. Additionally feel free to head to our help center and make a support ticket!
Thank you @leap_xyz for having me on your Space. Major highlights:
- We talked a lot about the Diamond algorithm (BTC should have no major preferential treatment vs SOL)
- $ME represents our way of growing alongside the community. The relationship between Magic Eden and the community should not feel like PVP.
- A lot of passion about switching royalties to sell side on SOL. I don't want to ape into a decision but I'll study this some more.
- Our team spent a really long time figuring out how to build a cross chain business. Now each chain has a proper biz + eng team set up. This took a long time to get right.
- I'm going to be way more active and present with the community so stick around...who wants to do the next Space?
First, explain the following so everyone understands: the diamonds were distributed based on volume in USD.
This leads to my first question: why was it based on USD if the fees were charged in $SOL, $BTC, etc.? Unless the Exchange immediately converted the fees into USD at the time they were charged, which I don’t believe happened.
I understand that it’s not the same to spend 100 $SOL when its price was 20 USD as it is to spend 100 $SOL now when it’s at 150 USD.
The fees are charged in $SOL, so I don’t know why they’re considering them in USD, but anyway.
Also, another thing, it doesn’t seem logical to benefit users in the same way if one has been using and trusting the platform since day 1 and the other is a new user using it now that the market is more popular.
In my opinion, there should be a multiplier for the users from the first years, regardless of volume.
Let me know if you need any adjustments!
