@adrianfclarke I like the Fiat Coupe as well, but I think you are right. Can't get a grip on the idea of a fwd sports coupe, but the Q4 4x4 version didn't come to England. Ooh, hold on, did they get those in Japan...?

@Only9built @joedamaggio Yeah, my mate had one, and used to load it with rolls of thermoform plastic sheet and thrash it down to Milan and back. Never any problems.

@FvdE @joedamaggio BX were great for us. We regularly loaded them with loads of payphone spares and sometimes £10k or more in coin. They were thrashed all day and night, engineers loved them, they cost buttons to buy, buttons to run and they never went wrong.

Got my copilot back from the vets. All fine, not entirely sure what the lump was until tests come back but it was fluid based and on his tear duct so possible chance of reoccurrence. He's happy enough, certainly happier than when I dropped him off this morning, most likely because he's had all of the vets and nurses cooing over him all day. One of them was convinced to take him out in the sun multiple times. Very happy to have him back

@FUncompromised @ErukanuSenpai @Only9built Only problem I had with one that disabled it was a split return pipe from the pump to the reservoir, and yes, regular maintenance was important.

@FvdE @ErukanuSenpai @Only9built Agreed. Most issues were lack of maintenance, then sludge builds up. Even that isn’t the end of the world, you can use “hydraurinçage”. But just flush oil and clean filters. Many people didn’t and then you get issues.

@adrianfclarke I feel like I should own an Alfa Romeo soon, I almost bought a Giulia too, but decided on this Japanese import Audi (and haven't regretted it yet), so probably need an Alfa for when I need another car. The problem is, which one?? I feel the last GTV to be honest, and cheep.

@adrianfclarke Absolutely this. The XE and gen 2 XF were utterly underwhelming in and out. Interior Particularly disappointing after the original XF.

I don’t know Ian Callum. I was way below his pay grade and anyway at the time the Jaguar and Land Rover studios were still separate. However it’s clear on the run up to launch of the Type 00 he’s doing the media rounds bemoaning ‘what could have been’ - i.e. his next round of cars that were cancelled, and doing a bit of history rewriting. I saw all those proposals and it was all more of the same - there was nothing new (if you Google you can find images of the cancelled EV XJ). There was only one ‘new’ model proposal that was truly, truly stunning - and that never stood a chance. Say what you will about the Callum Jaguars (personally I think the X351 XJ of 2010 was incredible) but the bottom line is those cars were not selling. In their best of sales, 2018 Jaguar sold about 180k cars. That year BMW sold over 2 million.

@adrianfclarke Doesn't really matter what 'we' think of them, end of the day they just didn't sell, and with that level of sales Jaguar was heading for extinction. What I always thought about Mr Callum's work was that every car had some features I liked, but others I hated or was ambivalent.

@adrianfclarke I very nearly bought the top two, and own the Honda... So on that basis the 156 is indeed the least desirable.

@FvdE I prefer a standard 156 but otherwise solid line up.

@joedamaggio @Only9built I still miss my BX. Considering I owned it in the same period I had a few Maserati's and a Renault 5 Turbo (as well as a few other cars considered 'good' on the handling side of things) I didn't have a problem with the handling. It's different, but not bad.
