Haven’t shared much about this outside of my inner circle. About 2 years ago at GCX I was at my heaviest 230 and had started minor diet changes but nothing crazy. Fast forward to about 3 months ago before lootfest I weighed about 220. I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes with a 370 blood sugar level and 14.9% A1C due to mostly poor lifestyle choices and my body not producing enough insulin. Today I had a check up to see where my A1C was at and managed to get it down to 6.2% and am currently sitting at 182lbs I know people look at type 2 diabetes in a negative light due to it in large part being caused by lifestyle. But if my wife hadn’t made me get blood work done I would’ve never known and to be sitting at a 370 blood sugar over a 3 month average is extremely dangerous and could’ve been catastrophic. Eating, drinking and actually working out these last 3 months has not only been great for my health but mentally I feel so much better. Used to be embarrassed to share this but now I feel like I have my confidence back and wanted to share my story.
