@HHOSINT All im saying is that the Government should properly accommodate for its actions and appropriately plan for the consequences it may bring. Both good and bad.

@G0splan The state has a solid reason to arrest him, it’ll be wise to wait and put ears on the ground to know why the arrest happened instead of disturbing public peace in the name of protest. No clergyman is above the Government.

LOCAL PRODUCTION OF HARDWARE: NIGERIAN ARMY TO STRENGTHEN STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP WITH TETFUND ON ARMAMENT TECHNOLOGY AND DRONE WARFARE The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, has underscored the imperative of strategic investment in human capital development and advanced military research as a critical pathway toward reducing Nigeria’s dependence on foreign military imports and accelerating indigenous defense production. The COAS made this known on Tuesday, 26 May 2026, while receiving the Executive Secretary of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), Arc. Sunday Echono at the Army Headquarters, Abuja. Lieutenant General Shaibu expressed profound appreciation to TETFund for its sustained infrastructural and academic support to key military institutions, particularly the Nigerian Army University, Biu (NAUB) and the Nigerian Army College of Management Science (NACMS), Makurdi. He noted that both institutions continue to play a strategic role in producing the highly skilled manpower required to support the evolving operational and administrative demands of the Nigerian Army. The COAS disclosed that the Nigerian Army would further engage TETFund in sponsoring specialized training programmes for officers in armament technology, drone warfare, robotics, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and other emerging defense technologies aimed at positioning the Nigerian Army to effectively dominate the modern battlespace and operate optimally at the highest professional standards and results driven operations. Highlighting the rapidly evolving global security environment, Lieutenant General Shaibu stressed that contemporary security threats demand a “whole-of-society approach,” where academic innovation, technological advancement, and military capability are deliberately integrated. He emphasized that developing robust indigenous expertise in drone and armament technology would provide the nation with the strategic intellectual base required to drive local manufacturing of military hardware, strengthen national self-reliance, and enhance long-term operational sustainability. In his remarks, the Executive Secretary of TETFund, Arc. Sunday Echono, reaffirmed the Fund’s commitment to expanding collaboration with the Nigerian Armed Forces in the areas of advanced research, military intelligence, innovation and emerging technologies. He acknowledged the longstanding contributions of the Armed Forces to the nation’s educational sector through its tri-service institutions and stated that TETFund remains committed to supporting initiatives capable of generating strategic breakthroughs that will not only strengthen national security but also contribute meaningfully to national development. This is quite revealing. Tantita Security Services has explained how criminals were stealing crude oil and selling it to the highest bidders in Bayelsa before the firm was engaged to protect the pipelines.

@WayEvery1 @BrantPhilip_ For such a popular Government they sure are fast to crack down on Unions and Religious leaders who criticise their incompetence. Atleast in Cote d'Iviore, Nigeria or Benin Orgs and individuals would be able to voice their opposition to the government peacefully.

🗣️ Dear Nigerians, Nigeria pulled in a record $23.22bn in foreign capital inflow in 2025, and on the surface, that sounds like very good news. But there’s more to the story. For every $1 that came into Nigeria as long-term investment that can build factories, businesses, infrastructure, and jobs, $21 came in as short-term financial flows like stocks, bonds, and treasury bills. In simple terms, most of the money entering the country is quick money. Money that can come in today and leave tomorrow. The numbers may be big, but long-term growth needs investment that stays, builds, creates jobs, and improves people’s lives. #GetInvolved #FollowTheMoney

Enugu state was a hotbed of kidnapping. Then the new gov came in, bought surveillance equipments, bought more equipments, bought cars for the police, created a command n control centre etc. Today enugu is largely peacful. That is what @Osi_Suave @mobilisingniger are trying to say. Governors have a role to play in everything. Lagos has a police trust fund.

As seen on Facebook. Alleged Coup Plot: Secret Document Reveals Proposed Government Structure After Tinubu’s Overthrow Fresh revelations have emerged in the ongoing investigation into the alleged coup plot against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, following the discovery of a handwritten document said to contain plans for a replacement government if the operation had succeeded. The document, reportedly recovered during investigations and reviewed by Pointblanknews.com, allegedly outlined proposed political appointments and administrative structures intended to take effect after the planned removal of the Tinubu government. Among the positions listed were “Leader of New Nigeria and Commander-in-Chief,” a Vice President or Prime Minister as second-in-command, Chief of Army Staff, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Attorney-General of the Federation and National Security Adviser. Top positions in security and anti-corruption agencies, including the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Department of State Services (DSS), were also reportedly captured in the notes. Investigators further claimed the alleged plotters proposed the establishment of a “National Patriotic Ruling Council” (NPRC), a body said to mirror the Armed Forces Ruling Council that operated during Nigeria’s military era. The handwritten document allegedly contained plans to create new government agencies, including the National Religion Regulatory Agency, National Infrastructure Development Maintenance Agency and the Nigerian Internal Security Committee. Other proposals reportedly included setting up committees to review the final removal of petroleum subsidy and improve salaries and welfare packages for members of the armed forces and other security agencies. Security sources said the alleged conspirators also planned a major restructuring of the military into six command zones, with three General Officers Commanding assigned to each zone. Another proposal allegedly involved merging the EFCC with the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC). According to details contained in the notes, several positions in the proposed administration were to be allocated using the federal character principle. The Vice President position was allegedly zoned to the South East, while the Secretary to the Government of the Federation and Minister of Defence were designated for the South West. The Attorney-General of the Federation and Chief of Defence Staff were reportedly assigned to the South South, while the National Security Adviser position was to go to the North West. The EFCC chairmanship was allegedly reserved for the North East, while the Director-General of the DSS and Inspector-General of Police were expected to emerge from the North Central region. Although portions of the handwritten notes reportedly remain difficult to interpret, investigators believe the document formed part of the operational framework of the alleged coup planners. The revelations have added a new dimension to the ongoing treason and terrorism trial before the Federal High Court in Abuja. The Federal Government had announced in January 2026 that security agencies uncovered an alleged plot involving serving and retired military officers, alongside civilians, to overthrow President Tinubu’s administration. Subsequent investigations led to several arrests, while some suspects were declared wanted by authorities. Those currently facing trial include retired Major General Mohammed Ibrahim Gana, retired Naval Captain Erasmus Ochegobia Victor, Police Inspector Ahmed Ibrahim, Zekeri Umoru, Bukar Kashim Goni and Abdulkadir Sani. Former Bayelsa State Governor Timipre Sylva was also named in court documents as allegedly linked to the plot and was reported by prosecutors to be at large.

NIGERIAN ARMY SUSTAINS REGIONAL SECURITY POSTURE, SAFEGUARDS DEMOCRATIC PROCESS IN BENIN REPUBLIC   The Nigerian Army (NA), acting on the directive of the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces o Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellecy, Bola Ahmed Tinubu deployed a company of troops to the Republic of Benin in April 2026 as part of proactive measures to safeguard democratic stability and forestall any breakdown of law and order during the country’s electioneering period.   Although not directly tasked with election conduct duties, the Nigerian Army troops were strategically positioned to provide a stabilizing presence before, during and after the electoral process. The deployment was aimed at deterring potential security threats, reinforcing public confidence and supporting a peaceful democratic transition in line with Nigeria’s commitment to regional peace and cooperation.   The troops, operating under Operation ATILEHIN ALAFIYA II, maintained a high level of operational readiness throughout their stay, conducting patrols, monitoring key locations and sustaining a visible security presence across critical areas within the Cotonou metropolis and its environs.   This forward-leaning posture culminated in the successful provision of security support during the presidential inauguration ceremony of President Romuald Wadagni. Nigerian Army personnel were deployed in the early hours of the day to strategic locations, including the main inauguration venue and other designated points, establishing a comprehensive and layered security architecture that ensured a peaceful and hitch-free event.   The Commanding Officer exercised direct operational oversight at the venue, while other elements were deployed across multiple static positions. In addition, mobile patrol teams conducted area domination operations to enhance situational awareness, deter criminal elements and reinforce the overall security framework throughout the duration of the ceremony.   The successful execution of this mission underscores the capacity of the Nigerian Army for rapid deployment, operational professionalism and its readiness to support regional peace initiatives. It also highlights Nigeria’s leadership role in promoting democratic governance and stability within the West African sub-region.   The Nigerian Army remains committed to working collaboratively with regional partners and relevant stakeholders to ensure a secure and peaceful environment across the region, in line with the objectives of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).   The Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu has commended the troops for their discipline, resilience and exemplary conduct, noting that their performance reflects the core values and operational excellence of the Nigerian Army.   The Nigerian Army will continue to uphold its constitutional mandate while contributing meaningfully to regional and international peace support efforts.   The inauguration ceremony was well attended by the President Commander-in -Chief Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu represented by the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima and other dignitaries from Nigeria.   APPOLONIA ANELE Colonel Acting Director Army Public Relations 25 May 2026
