Final Q: Formative assessment essentially is your quick pulse check. Again the online space makes it smooth - we see you Padlet, Nearpod, Kahoot, Zoom polls etc. #NNPSChat

#NNPSChat A4-Virtual classrooms are a haven for differentiated instructional strategies. Our teachers are utilizing vid clips, choice boards, polls, reflective/multi-response questions, Flipgrid etc.

A3 - Demonstrating #collaboration; model civil discourse; show that learning goes far beyond the classroom #NNPSChat

A2 - Student agency=student voice, student's sharing the ideas receiving feedback from the facilitating teacher and peers. Since Virtual Instruction peels back the behavioral mgmt, teachers have the power to structure relatable lessons that students want to invest in. #NNPSChat

A1 - Virtual lessons offer a lot of flexibility in that a variety of platforms/extensions can be used to convey information. The unique aspect is that less is more. Since the behavior piece is almost entirely removed, all the focus is on instruction. #NNPSChat

Everything flows from the person you are. Leaders get into trouble when they put their desire for results before their willingness to develop themselves in areas of competence and character.

When it comes to students. Remember, anger is often the outward manifestation of inward frustrations/pain. Often true of adults too.

Some teachers, staff & admin may feel overwhelmed or need help. Most will not reach out for help because they think it makes them look weak or incompetent. Take a moment to check in & see how each other is doing and let them lean on you if they need it. Teams build each up!

Besides trust and respect, I think teachers most want an admin who has their back. There is no more secure feeling than a leader who you know won't throw you under the bus, will defend you in public, allows you to fail safely and will support you as a professional.
