At bedtime the 8 yo told me his teacher said: "Think of your mind like a pond full of fish and each fish is a feeling. Try to be the pond, not the fish." And all I can say is primary school has significantly improved.

Major cheat code for life: Believe that things will work out for you. Not blindly, but through effort. When you expect good things and pair it with action, you start noticing opportunities others miss. Optimism paired with effort is a powerful force.

I’m in the exact same hotel room I was in when I played my show at MSG in 2024. Hard not to remember how insurmountable my loneliness and insecurity seemed to be in that moment of my life. I’m sitting here now smiling not because my album comes out tomorrow night or because I have “succeeded” in any way since, but because I can live with being exactly who I am and I owe that all to you guys.

Also I am a firm believer in the importance of smiling and waving at little kids as you pass them, because the world is already scary enough when you’re small and new WITHOUT adults also acting like you’re either being a burden just by existing, or like you don’t exist at all
