Absolutely, some things remain constant regarding what might be considered best practice. Glad you still remember those great times as I am convinced we are seeing the results now in the players that have come through 👍

@sturge_p I echo this. I remember doing the youth module with your good self at Keele in 2006. I'm helping with my son's team now and it's great to see you're still involved. Much of what you did back then is still relevant today 👌👍

We can always include a number of formats as part of what opportunities the season offers before locking players into the 11v11 game. We need to redefine what match day, leagues and competition looks like👍

@sturge_p Don’t disagree Pete - the stats are clear. Playing devils advocate though; already limited facilities would possibly struggle with a default increase in teams/games, and would the delay in playing 11v11 until say U15-16 be detrimental?

The FP DNA was an attempt to match development priorities to age+stage of players in an attempt to maximise development. You will never build a secure connection with the ball if you rarely touch it so staying on it whilst refining your decisions is a great place to start👍
