The SCA Urban Treehouse program team in DC had an eventful summer connecting with the community and providing environmental education! From river ecology to native plant scavenger hunts, local youth enjoyed getting outdoors and learning about nature at Anacostia Park. 🦋🌱

So it begins, again! ...for the last time in my PhD! After a 5 week dry-down & soil-mixing, all 480 #soilseedbank samples collected in 2022 from @TheJornada have been re-wetted (& fertilized) to continue the emergence trial that began in April. I expect another ~500 seedlings.
