2026 WCAC Honorable Mention Aiden Rolnick The Junior right handed emerged on scene this season for the Varsity. Pitched in 5 conference regular season games and started in 2 of those. Only walking 4 batter in 20.1 innings and struck out 17. With a good feel for 3 pitches was able to keep hitters off balance and showed tremendously mound presence and body language. Congratulations on this accomplishment and building off of this heading into Senior year! @GCFalconsAD @OLGCHS @XposureBSB @PrepBaseballMD

2026 WCAC 2nd Team (Infield) Ryan Noll The team’s primary 2 hole hitter had a huge Junior year. Split mostly between Catcher and 1st Base, he was recognized by the conference as an infielder for this award. In 12 conference games he batted an even .400 with an on base of .553 with 14 hits and 2 of them were Home Runs. And with almost an exact even strikeout to walk ratio in the box. With great overall defense at both positions making a total of 4 errors. Add on top phenomenal leadership and a large hunger for team success. Congratulations on this accomplishment and everyone looks forward to seeing you last hurrah next year as a Senior! @GCFalconsAD @OLGCHS @XposureBSB @PrepBaseballMD

Today is day 5 of 10 for our tribute to the class of ‘26! We feature… “DanRan” Danny Ranallo #11 A young man who brought it every day for 4 years! An intense player who loves the game, cares about his teammates, and strives to be the best he can be, while having fun and embracing the challenges that the game offers. His deep thinking approach to the game proved to be very useful during his career as it allowed him to make adjustments when necessary while combining that with his strength and athleticism. This was on full display in multiple occasions during his Junior year. 3/19/25 and 4/23/25, first as a left handed pitcher in the 4/23 game on the road vs Archbishop Curley a top 10 ranked team, when he can into the game during an adverse situation for 2innings and kept us in the ballgame by making pitch after pitch vs an excellent hitting team. A huge reason while the momentum of the game shifted and gave the team chance to climb back. On 3/19 on the road vs the Heights he was the left fielder and had 2 hits, 2 walks and 3 RBI’s and his performance helped propel us into the Mrtyle Beach trip that would follow! DanRan was a player whether he realized it or not, would make people better everyday at practice and was a great combination and personality to the ball club while helping with younger players in the program via mentorship. His contributions to the program for 4 years helped shape our identity and we thank him for that! He went after everything he could during his at GC time, building relationships, working hard on and off the field. Enjoying and having a great attitude for community work and service. His willingness and thoughtfulness to be a great teammate in all that he did. He has been the embodiment of a GC student athlete and one I hope the younger students have learned from. A 4 year GC baseball player (2 years JV and 2 years Varsity) Attending Arizona State in the fall! A part of 33 wins during his Varsity career! A 4 time winner of “Falcon of the Day” First Varsity hit, was on 3/10/25 vs St. John’s Catholic Prep in Frederick at McCurdy Field! First Varsity pitching outing was on 3/25/25 vs Germantown Friends School in Mrytle Beach, South Carolina during the Spring Break ‘25 trip! In that game he recorded his 1st strikeout of his Varsity career! He dealt with a hip injury that occurred during the Jackson Reed game to keep working through and healing so he could be available and to watch his perseverance was great to see! As a Senior, on 4/7/26 during game 1 of Tampa ‘26 spring break trip vs the Nichols School he had 2 hits and 2 RBI’s that were both at big moments in game! GC Baseball’s 2025 award winner for “Unsung Hero” GC Baseball’s 2026 award winner for ??? 🤔 (find out on Tuesday, May 19th) DanRan, your voice was one that the program needed over your 4 years! Your day to day approach was one I hope current players try to emulate. We thank you for bringing the effort and intensity each day in all skills. We applaud and appreciate how much you care and cared about GC baseball. Over your time you organized things for the younger players in the program and help show them the way. You were a leader in doing the little things so well and paying attention and developing those even more to help drive the mission of each and every team you played on. Your attention to detail and focus was always appreciated and YOU helped mold that standard. While finding your way! Always striving for excellence along the way and demanding that from everyone involved. Your contributions were bigger than you will ever know. As life goes on and you come back, I hope you can take a moment to pause and smile and say “I helped make this possible” thank you for your service and dedication and making us all better. @GCFalconsAD @OLGCHS (During an at bat vs Bishop Ireton on Senior Day ‘26!) We have entered day 6 of 10 for our tribute to the class of ‘26! Today’s feature is… “BLo” Brady Lowman #9 A Senior pitcher who was also named a team captain. Was pivotal in anchoring down our pitching staff’s work ethic and commitment day in and day out. Was always there to help along other pitchers and two way position players in their daily work. A regular nominee by coach Rose for consideration in “FOD” finalist appearances. Someone that was great to listen talk, in front of the team in those moments, who always offered wisdom and motivation, while being able to keep it lighter while having fun in those situations. A determined player who strived to be the best version of himself. Took that with him in the classroom and his off season training. Very helpful and adaptable in the community work and very selfless. His at times fiery personality was a good mix on a team with very eclectic and wide ranging mind sets. The competitiveness that he showed for 4 years was one that everyone noticed. He overcame injuries early in his GC career and garnered respect from his teammates and coaches through moments he built up and via things mentioned above. Showed high character through adverse outings during his career. But was always a leader and was able to have that title for his senior year. The leadership is something that will be and is a mark of who BLo is! A 4 year GC baseball player (1 year Freshman/Soph, 1 year JV and 2 years Varsity) A baseball commit to Hood College! A part of 33 wins during his Varsity career! A winner of “Falcon of the Day” A Senior team captain! First Varsity pitching outing, during his Junior year was on 3/10/25 vs St. John’s Catholic Prep in Frederick at McCurdy Field, where he closed the game and threw 1 inning and struck out 2! On 5/19/25 he pitched against Avalon in the Calvert Cup Semi Final game in which he also closed that game out with 1 inning and striking out 2! As a Senior, he started against #1 ranked Archbishop Spalding and Gonzaga. Got the win at Tampa ‘26 spring break trip vs Canisius (NY)! On Senior day ‘26 he pitched 2 innings vs Bishop Ireton and struck out 2 while only allowing 1 hit! As a pitcher, he still managed to get 3 plate appearances as a hitter over his 2 year varsity career including a hit vs SJCP on 3/10/26! GC Baseball’s 2025 award winner for “Competitor of the Year” GC Baseball’s 2026 award winner for ??? 🤔 (find out on Tuesday, May 19th) BLo, from the day you walked in to GC you already had a leader mentality about yourself. Over the 4 years on and off the field you cultivated it and found ways to develop that trait. From being more vocal about your leadership early in your career to being more of an example driven leader later in your career. The theme is the qualities have been there the whole time. We all feel your best days as a pitcher are still ahead of you. Looking forward to see what you do this summer and fall as you are getting ready to embark on the next chapter in your baseball and academic career at Hood. Those leadership skills will prove to be extremely important in your next chapters and everyone is behind you in that journey. On the field and in life this world needs more leaders. You proved as a senior captain no matter what adverse thing came your way to stay steadfast and keep leading. That is something that can NOT be understated. It can be seen, it can be felt, and it can be applauded and celebrated. We all thank you for being “THAT” person and look forward to you always being that person! We hope the BG’s and the G’s shine on you and help you use the equity you have been building up and stacking to future prosperity in everything that you do! @GCFalconsAD @OLGCHS (During a pitch vs Bishop Ireton on Senior Day ‘26!) Day 7 of 10 for our tribute to the class of ‘26! Today’s feature is… “O” Owen Alsop #20 Owen a Senior pitcher who will be missed in some many different ways. He continued the legacy of Senior pitchers who carry the torch, before passing it on to the future. He is as well rounded as any student athlete in our program. The reach of his capabilities are so far they can not be expressed accurately in this format. We appreciate his work ethic, attention to detail, the teammate he is, his coach-ability, mentorship, tutoring to teammates, his communication skills and the list truly goes on and on. We were all thankful and blessed to have him in our presence for 4 years! His contribution to GC and GC baseball goes down as quietly one of the biggest graduation hits the team will take. Owen’s human and baseball acumen are quite large. His compassion, heart and determination are top 1% we have. We all have valued everything he has done to better GC and GC baseball. Thank you for your tireless work on the field, in the classroom and in the community. A 4 year GC baseball player (.5 year Freshman/Soph, 1.5 year JV and 2 years Varsity) Attending the University of Maryland! A part of 33 wins during his Varsity career! A 5 time winner of “Falcon of the Day” First Varsity pitching outing, during his Junior year was on 3/12/25 vs Archbishop Carroll where he closed the game and threw 2 innings and struck out 5! On 3/25/25 he pitched in Myrtle Beach against Germantown Friends School and threw 1 inning and struck out 1! As a Senior, he appeared in 7 games his last appearance was on Senior day ‘26 he pitched 1 inning vs Bishop Ireton and allowed 0 runs and 0 hits! GC Baseball’s 2025 award winner for “Foxhole” GC Baseball’s 2026 award winner for ??? 🤔 (find out on Tonight!) Owen, you are arguably the most respected person in the program and rightfully so. Your demeanor, aptitude and work ethic in all you do is a joy to be around. You have found a way to be trusted by all players and coaches. You voice is one that has always been welcomed and appreciated. Not because you were the ‘26 spring break karaoke champion! Your dancing is legit also! It’s because when you speak the words are going to be important, valuable, meaningful and something all of us need to hear. Your “FOD” speeches are some of my absolute favorite moments of this past season. The way you commanded the attention of all present is pure happiness for a coach to see! We all look forward to seeing how you attack the next step in your life. Us who know you, know you will dominate but you will be worried how it goes and you shouldn’t. You are so prepared, make sure you take moments to enjoy your success that is surely coming. Don’t forget us back at home, we definitely won’t be forgetting you! @GCFalconsAD @OLGCHS (During a pitch vs Bishop Ireton on Senior Day ‘26!) Picture below ⬇️

Refusal to not be 100% prepared for the season. Made a defensive position change during his high school career. He was selected to the 1st team all conference, and batted almost exclusively in the 5 spot this season. The most determined hitter in our lineup day in and day out. Deep thinker in his approach to the game he loves. In the classroom JRo has been ultra successful as well, dedicating himself to be the best student he can be and taking full advantage of all that GC has to offer! A good example to his peers in that regard. In the community he has been a real go getter in the team events we have done over his career! JRo accepted hard/tough coaching and did anything he could in any area to get better for himself and team! He was respected by his teammates and coaches for his unique approach and we feel blessed to have been with him for the last 2 years! Today is day 3 of 10 for our tribute to the class of ‘26! We feature… “Marko” Evan Markovitz #21 One of the best athletes we have in the GC baseball program! A unique combination of strength and speed while also being a left handed hitter. He spent his career at GC baseball on all 3 of our teams, while playing outfield, 1st base and pitching. His contributions were impactful on each team! A great teammate who loves baseball and cares deeply about GC. Fellow GC baseball players have always looked out for Marko and were always ready for a funny joke he may say, and or the occasional time/times he may leave his windows down in his car when it rained! We found Marko to have that clutch factor on the field over his career, when you think about the big moments he had while in a GC uniform. In 2025 he closed out a big game in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on the mound. In 2026 he made a diving catch to save multiple runs from scoring on an away game at Kelley Park in Gaithersburg. And just recently in the WCAC playoffs he had 4 hits in 3 games, including 3 doubles! To name a few. A 4 year GC baseball player (1 year Fresh/Soph team, 1 year JV team, 2 years Varsity team) A baseball commit to Frederick Community College! A part of 33 wins during his Varsity career! A 5 time winner of “Falcon of the Day” First Varsity hit, turned out to be a multi hit game which included a double and 4 RBI’s on 3/10/25 vs St. John’s Catholic Prep in Frederick at McCurdy Field! Also the same day he made his first Varsity start in the Outfield (RF)! First Varsity Home Run! Was on 4/8/25 another day with multi being involved. As he hit 2 💣 at home against Bishop Ireton! His last home run was another playoff moment in last year’s Calvert Cup Quarterfinal away vs Perry Hall Christian Academy! GC Baseball’s 2025 award winner for “Dude of the Year” GC Baseball’s 2026 award winner for ??? 🤔 (find out on Tuesday, May 19th) Marko, your dedication to GC and GC Baseball was one to be admired. You are an “all time” combination of baseball skills and ability, work ethic, desire, personality while having fun with your teammates! You worked for and earned your accomplishments on the field and in the classroom! Your service in community was also exemplary! You are the definition of embracing who you are as a person. We all got to learn you over 4 years and watch everything you became. We are proud of you, we love you and we hope FCC knows what they are getting when you walk on campus this fall! 😁 Truly 1 of 1! Thank YOU! @GCFalconsAD @OLGCHS (One of 2 doubles hit by Marko in the biggest win for GC Baseball in the last 4 years!) Picture below ⬇️

As we continue our tribute to the class of ‘26! Today we feature… “Spiv” Brendan Spivock #10 One of the best players in GC Baseball who spends the most time under “the radar” to the outside world. Spiv has been an absolute anchor and core piece to GC Baseball for 4 years. His quiet confidence and poise from either the Catcher or DH position has been paramount in the success of every GC Baseball team he has been on. A young man who leads by example in practices, games, off season, and shows the younger players what it means to wear the GC uniform. He has fully understood the standard and expectation of being a GC baseball student athlete. While helping set that standard for 4 years! He has commanded his teammates and coaches respect by his day in and day approach. While showing a commitment to his team, school, class and self. Excels on the field and in the classroom! Spiv plays the most demanding defensive position in our program both mentally and physically and we all applaud what he has done for 4 years and he is a HUGE reason why we have the BEST catchers in the state! A 4 year GC baseball starter, not many players can say they have/will do that! (1 year Fresh/Soph team, 1 year JV team, 2 year Varsity team) A baseball commit to Allegheny College! A Senior team captain! All WCAC conference selection (2026 Honorable Mention as a Catcher) A part of 37 wins during his Varsity career! A 7 time winner of “Falcon of the Day” First Varsity hit was a single on opening day ‘25 at Home vs Georgetown Prep! Made only 4 errors total in two years on Varsity! Spent most of his Varsity career as the team’s 4 hole hitter! GC Baseball’s 2025 award winner for “Junior of the Year” GC Baseball’s 2026 Spring Break Trip award winner for “MVP” GC Baseball’s 2026 award winner for ??? 🤔 (find out on Tuesday, May 19th) Spiv, your contributions to GC and GC Baseball will live long after you graduate next week! What you have done will help those that come after you. Thank you for raising the bar and being someone we can and have trusted for 4 years! We love you and thank you for helping make GC baseball #catcherU You will be missed but never forgotten! @GCFalconsAD @OLGCHS (Was our Catcher in the biggest win for GC Baseball in the last 4 years!)
