@GCaseYHS27 NYCFC definitely did enough to win this one comfortably IMO.

NYCFC fails to capitalize on chances to kill the game and #AllForCITY steals a point on the road. Overall, a performance that left lots to be desired IMO. The defense was cut open to too often, too easily. The attack was toothless for most of the match. Without a few big saves from Bürki and a late moment of McSorley magic the result would have been much different

Soccer is not meant to be played in baseball stadiums. I know they’re building a soccer specific stadium for NYCFC but this is horrible

@j_clem There’s always room in behind NYCFC backline. Usually make up for it due to Thiago Martins being one of the fastest CB in the league

@GCaseYHS27 We've been alright against a high press so far. We typically want to draw our opponents forward by playing patiently out of the back. But there have been a few issues playing out of the back this season agaisnt a good pressing side

I'm rolling with a result that might surprise some; a 2-1 #AllForCITY win. CITY stacks up well statistically with NYCFC. It will be curious to see how Damet approaches things tactically on one of the narrowest pitches in MLS tonight. Definitely one thing to watch for tonight in New York.

@j_clem Not sure how STL deals with the press but NYCFC press is deadly. The centerbacks step into the midfield to win the ball.

@GCaseYHS27 Yeah and that's what scares me. I've watched a few NYCFC games. My concerns are: 1. NYCFC has that sort of fluid, organized chaos that I do fear will disorganize us. 2. We've relied on our width so much. I don't know how that will translate on the Citi Field pitch

@j_clem As your coach said the problem when going against NYCFC is you can point out a few instincts from players and tactics but it’s so unpredictable. Without Alonso Martinez at the 9 role we play Nico at the false 9 which just makes the entire attack so fluid.Everyone is interchanging
