@Dawkinizer I think we can acknowledge that faith is not merely reasonable. Faith transcends reason. It isn’t a scientific act. Still, it isn’t illogical or irrational.

Tbh there were some aspects of the video I liked, such as how Christians need to embrace truth and actually engage with science and scholarship, but him also saying that Christians just need to accept that faith is inherently unreasonable struck me as contradictory.

Just learned I may have some Orthodox ancestors if you go back 800 years since my Italian ancestors are from Calabria which was a Greek Orthodox holdout even after the schism Barlaam was from there but converted to Catholicism after his dispute with Palamas
