In 2018, the Steam Gathering System (SGS) was officially commissioned. It allows steam from production wells to flow to the power plants for electricity generation. The pipes are insulated & clad to reduce heat loss & protect personnel from the high temperatures of the steam line

A well casing is the backbone of a geothermal well. It keeps the well stable, blocks unwanted water, supports equipment, and safely channels steam to the surface, ensuring GDC delivers clean, reliable energy to Kenya.
