THIS. GDI has been around for 8 yrs & has been saying changes are coming “soon!” for 8 yrs. Except, as I’ve said before, now the inaction is not just affecting operating policy - it’s actively harming our community and that’s where I draw the line.

It is with a heavy heart that I step down as chapter leader of @GDItoledo after 5 years. I will not be part of an organization that is harmful to marginalized communities. I have signed an-open-letter-to-gdi-board.com demanding change from @girldevelopit board members.

I had an amazing run with @girldevelopit. Met so many incredible people, and helped build a community that changed me for the better. I felt a misalignment when I stepped down as leader over a year ago. It saddens me that the organization has come to this an-open-letter-to-gdi-board.com
