#FossilFriday We have three pachycephalosaur growth series that are uncontroversial tmk: Stegoceras validum, Prenocephale prenes, and Sphaerotholus buchholtzae. Interestingly, all three taxa seem to have pretty straightforward ontogenetic trajectories. (1/4)

#FossilFriday: The bird-like theropod Anchiornis, from the Upper Jurassic of China. Some specimens of Anchiornis are so well preserved that traces of feather pigment remain. The body appears to have grey feathers, with a reddish-brown crest of feathers on its head.
