Reconnaissance demands more than mobility — it demands the ability to sense, communicate, and decide faster than the threat. Congratulations to our teammates at General Dynamics Land Systems on the U.S. Marine Corps Advanced Reconnaissance Vehicle Pre-Production Development award. This is what meeting the mission looks like. At General Dynamics Mission Systems, our Rampart chassis delivers open-architecture, battle-management-ready C5ISR infrastructure purpose-built for next-generation combat vehicles — a single rugged system designed so warfighters can rapidly adopt new capabilities without redesigning the vehicle. It's already proven on combat vehicles in the Army, the Marines' joint force partner. It was built for exactly this kind of moment. When General Dynamics builds the platform, the mission systems inside it are already there. Learn more: gdmissionsystems.com/products/commu…

𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒 𝐑𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐄 // 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐘, 𝐕𝐀. – General Dynamics Mission Systems has been awarded a $19 million contract modification by the U.S. Air Force to complete qualification and pre-production readiness activities for the Next Generation Survival Radio (NGSR). This contract underscores the General Dynamics commitment to delivering mission-critical communications to the warfighter. "When it matters most, the survival radio is what brings our pilots and aircrew home," said Rachel Oberc, vice president of Network and Communication Systems. "Our team has supported that mission for decades and we are proud to carry that legacy forward with the Next Generation Survival Radio. This contract puts production-ready hardware in the hands of operators so we can deliver a system they can trust with their lives. NGSR reflects a sustained partnership between the United States Air Force and General Dynamics, combining years of collaborative prototyping and development with significant investment by both parties to deliver a next-generation capability to the warfighter." Data is powerful when it's actionable. Fuse radar, AIS, Link-16, EO/IR cameras, and AI-driven target classification into a single, correlated common operating picture with Dynamic ASSIST™ and Dynamic Vision™. Standard 2D mapping. Immersive 3D track display. Real-time 3D weapon and sensor coverage zones. All at a single interface. This is what it looks like when under-utilized data becomes an operational advantage. That is the culture we are proud of. From the recruiting table to the executive level, the people at General Dynamics Mission Systems show up for each other and for the candidates who are considering joining us. 🤝 If you are curious about what a career here could look like for you, we would love to have that conversation. #CelebratingPeople | Jesse is a software engineer who works on battle management software for Land and Air Systems. He is primarily based at our Taunton, Massachusetts facility. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐚 𝐭𝐲𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞? I am currently a software engineer and scrum master on a combat platform program. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠? Like most engineers, probably Legos. There's something special about building something new, but what feels even more exciting is taking apart something broken to try to fix it. I've been doing that since I was very little, and by the time I was in middle school I changed what I wanted to be from “Lego master builder" to “software engineer," and here I am now. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭? Change is difficult and necessary.
