Delighted to join the friends of Hillsborough Fort Guard 🫡 This special body is the ceremonial guard of Hillsborough Fort in Royal Hillsborough and is essential to national events at the Hillsborough Castle and Gardens . Proud to be associated with this esteemed unit.

Despite us meeting in the most awful of circumstances when I had the sad duty of informing Kate Carroll of the murder of her husband Constable Stevie Carroll, a deep and long lasting friendship is maintained to this day. Terrorists don't win. Lest We Forget 🫡

It was an honour to visit the final resting place of Constable Stevie Carroll this morning and lay my tribute alongside those from other Tactical Support Group colleagues. This is the price of service and sacrifice in physical form. Duty Done. Stand Down. Rest easy brother 🫡

As always, I will spend today thinking about Constable Stephen Carroll who was murdered on duty 17 years ago today. It was an honour to know you and serve alongside you in the Tactical Support Group. Lest We Forget 🫡
