Adore you all, but please learn how to throw a dinner party. Your curation of guests must be immaculate. Every seat accounted for. Topics prepared. Venue, immaculate. Stop serving chips and salsa and guacamole from Trader Joe’s. Hire a chef. Hire a bartender.

With a handful of brands and well known individuals proclaiming that they are leaving the X platform, we thought it would be a nice moment to reaffirm @MoonPay's commitment to this ecosystem. Whether you like the content here or not, it's impact is undeniable and the freedom of speech it provides - whether you agree or not - is what makes Democracy truly powerful. For too long, we have existed in echo chambers and filter bubbles. Feeling uncomfortable is good. That is how we grow. Some will yell, some will be offended but "shining a light" on topics is oftentimes the best disinfectant to move forward constructively. From our perspective at MoonPay, we embrace this discussion and applaud @elonmusk @lindayaX and the hard working team at X. Had platforms like X not existed, the Crypto industry may have died over the past few years. Thus, we will continuing investing in this platform because it is genuinely reflection of the world we live in - with all it's good and all it's flaws. For those who dislike or misunderstand crypto, we will use this platform to try and educate you on why we believe this is the future. For those who dislike or had a bad experience with MoonPay, we will use this platform to highlight how we are continuing to evolve. We also listen to your feedback, whether we respond or not. And, for the millions of you who use our product and love it: THANK YOU! 🙏💜 At MoonPay, we believe the future is defined by optimists; and the freedom of speech and views this platform provides is what will enable us all to advance forward.

Polymarket is this year’s killer app – for crypto and beyond, allowing live bets on current events on a neutral, transparent blockchain. We should be encouraging software developers and founders to operate here in America – today’s raid sends the wrong message: Innovate and risk being targeted. We hope, through our work, to promote responsible economic growth in the crypto sector in the coming years.

Since I got a phone, I have never been invited this many times to join an app. @joinflip - this is like the scene out of The Social Network when FaceSmash goes viral. At this rate, I cannot even track how many people I know joined in the last 23 minutes Watch this 🚀

In case you’re wondering who‘s arguing with you on the internet… here’s a video of people walking into a building and being “scanned” with a lint roller by a man who is not a security guard, no questions asked.

Three hours before hopping on stage today, I found out a friend of mine had passed away. Tried to shake it off as I was around the team, but couldn’t stop thinking about it, and kept wondering what had happened. 15 minutes before getting on stage, another friend called… and told me what I wish I wasn’t going to hear, or at least what I selfishly wished had not happened… It was suicide. I was so confused, he was such a fun, happy and successful guy. Met him in law school and we had stayed in contact since. Always playful, always joking, always laughing… Found a place to cry for five minutes, because that’s all I had before having to get up on stage. I felt so confused, then so sad, and then so angry. How did I not know? Did I fail at answering him and finding out if he was good or not? But he was talking to my little brother last week to help him with his law school stuff… wtf? Again, shook it off because I had no choice, I had to get up there in front of a bunch of people, and I didn’t want to show anything because I hate a pity party. But is it really? Is hiding your emotions really the way to go? Because my friend did. He showed he was happy, he showed he was doing well, but he wasn’t. In fact, he was doing so bad he took his life away, and that crushed me. Went out there, hugged my friends as if everything was good, got up on stage and did my thing while thinking about him the entire time. It’s easy to put up a face, but it can hide so much pain, and I don’t want to hide it, because that’s what my friend did. I did it for you today, Étienne, and I will continue to tell everyone around me how much they mean to me for you as well. Don’t ever underestimate depression, because behind a smile, behind a joke, behind a laugh, can hide a lot of darkness. Hug your friends, hug your family, and let them know how much they mean to you… because when they’re gone, all you’re going to be able to do is write a tweet (or not) about the pain, and that won’t be enough to take it away. I’m hurting, but I’ll be fine. However I’ll never get my friend back, and what I can do is make sure I never lose another one. I really love a lot of you, please reach out to someone and let them know if you don’t feel well. I beg you. Speak up, tell people how you really feel deep inside. I promise you there will always be someone out there to help you. RIP. 🖤🕊️

Singling out someone to have an award redacted publicly for behavior that many many others who have also received that same award have shown feels very much discriminatory no matter where you stand on the issue. If you’re going to apply a standard, apply it to all. @nftnow
