I believe he is the record holder but I may be wrong with that However, he does have the record for most goals in a single season - he scored 74 goals in 1956/57, including 10 hat tricks - scored hat tricks in 5 successive matches at one point during the season He was also the leagues leading goalscorer for 10 successive seasons from 1952/53 to 1961/62

On this day - 20th March🗓️ 1965 - Glenavon defeat Ards 7-2 at Mourneview Park. Billy Johnston scored a hat-trick while Denis Guy (pictured below) scored his 46th and 47th goals of the season 2001 - Glenavon defeat Portadown 2-1 at Shamrock Park in a fierce Mid-Ulster derby. Gerard McMahon and Mark Glendinning scored Glenavon’s goal with Vinny Arkins getting Portadown’s goal. Both teams finished with 10 men after Rodney McAree and Andrew Smith were dismissed #BJAFN #NIFL
