Other hazards on scene were strong winds, icy conditions, electrical arcing and a gas leak. This fire is under investigation.

Gresham Fire crews responded on a large house fire in Troutdale early this morning. All occupants made it out. Crews located a dog during primary search and resuscitation attempted. Crews withdrew interior operations after the roof began to collapse. 📸 @911firephotog

Gresham Firefighter Nick Haney was 7.5 miles into the Boston marathon where he came across bystanders performing CPR on a runner in cardiac arrest. Nick immediately began assisting with cpr along with a doctor and physicians assistant who later showed up.

The actions of Nick and others involved help save this persons life and we are very proud to have him with GFD

We've mobilized four additional task forces to the #CougarPeakFire. These task forces are from Central OR, Lane, Lincoln/Douglas, & Multnomah Counties. They'll be joining six other task forces mobilized yesterday. Their mission is to protect life and structures. #Wildfire #Oregon

Video from this mornings 2 alarm apartment fire

Gresham Fire crews responded on an apartment fire this morning. Initial crews arrived to a 3 story apartment complex with heavy fire. A second alarm was dispatched. Two people were injured and transported to local hospitals. This fire is under investigation.

Gresham Fire and MCSO Deputies are responding to a fire next to I-84 in Troutdale. Please use caution with traveling in this area.

Gresham PD onscene of a fatal crash at SE Hogan/SE Palmquist. Roads are closed in the area while our crash team investigates, please use alternative routes.

Use the non-emergency Police number to report fireworks at 503-823-3333. Reserve calling 911 unless there is a fire, or you think someone, or something, is in danger. Keeping our 911 system free for active fires and medical emergencies will save lives.

Due to recent hot temperatures and dry conditions, Gresham City Council has joined many other cities around the region in banning the use of all fireworks, both legal and illegal, effective immediately. Gresham Police can issue a fine up to $2,500 for violations.
