Fascinating how sympathetic centrist high-brow German weekly Zeit is towards Meloni here. Keep in mind: this judicial reform is the *same* that Berlusconi always wanted (but never managed) to introduce. *And we know what his issue with the judiciary was*x.com/zeitonline/sta…

The old Italian “Laurea” - before 1981 - was the equivalent of the modern PhD (“dottorato di ricerca” 🇮🇹). Fermi, Rubbia, Occhialini, Giacconi, Amaldi, Majorana, Perotto, Faggin, Monti, Ciampi, Gentile, .. the list is very long, they all had a Laurea, which was functionally equivalent to what we now call a PhD.

Neymar never surpassed Messi or Ronado because he’s a Protestant. It’s just not within the laws of nature for the best player in the world to be a Protestant.

🇮🇹#Italy, constitutional referendum results: In a major setback for Prime Minister Meloni (FdI), Italian voters rejected her proposed constitutional reform in a referendum. Nearly 54 % of Italians voted "No", with a pretty high turnout of 58,9 %. The "No" vote prevailed across almost the entire country with only the northeast (Meloni’s coalition stronghold) supporting the "Yes". This marks a major victory for the left leaning opposition, just one year ahead of the next general election. The "No" vote was backed by the left leaning opposition including the Democratic Party (PD), the Five Star Movement (M5S) and Italy's largest trade Union (CGIL).
