@GGraziers @NFFNUK @FarmersGuardian @BalbirnieFarm @SoilAssocScot I find this really interesting- looks like you’re both doing a terrific job with the grazing. We employ same principles of rolling meadow hay into less diverse areas - it works a treat! Wondering how you get on with landlords shooting cover woods do you manage to graze these?

#PasturePower Day 3 - today we look at the impact on the sward when we are managing for nature. Regardless of pasture type, ley skills when #MobGrazing are developing an eye for when to move, learning to trust your judgement and adaptive decision making. @SoilAssocScot

You can watch my session from the @FarmingReal NRFC 2020 - Implementing agroforestry with native cattle as part of a healthy agroecosystem here: youtu.be/j28E2n4qOic Had a local farmer tell me he’s outwintering his heifers in the woods rather than housing now - result!

#PasturePower Day 2 - today we look at “the move”. We like to keep things low key and low stress for #theweemob - allowing us to check them over as they walk past us. Then it’s heads down (or up🌳) for some serious munching! @SoilAssocScot

New paddock, always observing, checking the sward...interesting to see how it’s come back as we manage for resilience in a changing climate. @GGraziers #farm24

Discussions being had now with landowners planning for restorative winter grazing - we use cattle to encourage plant diversity in woodlands and heath.

Nice and steady moves - calm and quiet handling is important, knowing the cattle are happy and healthy - just hungry enough to move to the next paddock after a period of chewing the cud. #GoNative #MobGrazing
