Woody weeds come in all shapes and sizes on our waters, and on Glenaulin Creek that is in the form of the Sycamore maple tree in critically endangered Glenelg Freshwater Mussel habitat. Creekside areas had individual trees identified and treated to stop their regeneration.

Why woody weeds winding their way around trees take weeks to remove. As part of our woody weed control works there is the challenge if English ivy which has invaded the site, which takes some precision chainsaw work, and some careful chemical application to remove. @DEECA_Vic
