October 12 is National Farmer's Day. On this day, we celebrate those who work in acres, not hours. We understand the hard work that goes into feeding the world, so we thank you, today and every day. #ThankAFarmer

Last Friday the Advance Agribusiness students had the opportunity to tour @CPI_coop. Thank you for giving them an insight on what careers you have to offer. @GISHAoBC @GISH_Islanders

Foundations class did not let the drizzle hold them back at the pumpkin patch. They had the opportunity to learn about the history of Helgoths and how far they have come in the produce industry.

We had the pleasure of @UNKearney Professor Dr. Tenkorang in the principles class to talk about #agribusiness program they have to offer.

Exciting day in Advance Agribusiness class. We were able to get the aquaponics tank set and running and thanks to Mr. Woods we have 3 females and 1 male guppy swimming in the tank. @GISHABC

Last week students were able to plant the vegetable plants they started in the classroom in our raised garden beds. We’re looking forward to the fresh produce this summer. @GISHABC @GIPSFoundation

We had 12 chicks hatch this week. It was a great experience for the students to witness and be part of. All the chicks are doing well and enjoys being taken care of by the Agribusiness students. @GISHABC

Principle students planted seeds this past week. Hoping to transplant them middle of May to our raised garden. @GISHABC

Foundations and Principles students were able to candle the eggs for their Embryology project this week. 15 out of the 18 eggs are winners. @GISHABC

Yesterday was a great day to build the two new raised garden beds! Agribusiness students will be planting vegetables and learning the growing process all by first hand experience. Best part is, these students will be using their business knowledge to sell their fresh produce.
