Leaving New York, I'd like to thank everyone who made the event possible. And first of all, players. It's a shame, that instead of adequately praising Humpy, Volodar, Ju; instead of closely covering the battle between Arjun and Fabi for the Candidates spot, instead of stories about players - relevations of the championship, like Armenian Karen Grigoryan, who shared 4th place in the rapid at his first attempt with such a line-up, or Azeri Mahammad Muradli or American Brandon Jacobson, who outperformed by 300 points, or 15 y.o. Afruza Khamdamova from Uzbekistan, who shared 2nd place in women's rapid, we mostly heard news about this never-ending GOAT saga. These overshadowed players are no less heroes of the Championship. Representatives of 65 countries, who came to NY, I salute you all, and congratulate those who excelled.
