@scottcoleman55 So changing his approach seems like a slightly double edged sword..ion know if anyone has noticed but he attacks the 1st pitch now more than I’ve ever seen him do.. that approach will has led him to lower his strikeouts.. but of course lead to the result of not walking🤷🏽♂️

- Had no idea where to put Adley, he doesn’t fit into any tier
- Chipper has an argument for GOAT tier with nearly 90 WAR but not sure if he belongs with ARod and Ohtani
- If not for injuries, Acuna would be HOF pace but past health scares me

If I coached 11 seasons and could not get a single QB drafted in the top 125, and changed receiver coaches every 2 years, I’d try to run the ball too.
Approach worked better pre-portal when QB mattered less and you could hoard all the defensive talent and it could not transfer.

I guess what I’m saying here is that it was a bit easier to live with the idea of a USMNT that was filled with guys who looked like they give max effort, scrapped for every 50/50 ball, and were decisive but held back by their skill…
Tonight it felt like we saw a group who had produced more skilled soccer than most past US teams, but they lacked a chip and lacked communication and togetherness when they got into a situation where they were no longer the favorites and no longer playing from the front.
Playing with energy and confidence can’t be a result of game state. It has to be a result of belief in self and team. Tonight, it felt like the world and the country believed in this team more than they believed in themselves. I’m used to seeing the opposite dynamic at play with the USMNT

I like Pulisic, but for two cycles in a row he has been anointed as the star and leader. The output has yet to match the hype. The most important ability is availability, and we haven’t seen him show on the biggest stage I’m not sure Berhalter and Tillman aren’t the midfield pieces of the future
