Meaning theres an added layer of decentralization right at the infrastructure provider layer The goal is to be the first official "World Computer" in which users can build applications of any kind. Whether it be DeFi services, tokenization focused media, AI products, IoT tracing & more They have a unique proponent in their ecosystem titled "Canisters" & these are used to interact with the web and other blockchains without bridges. Smart contracts also pay for their own execution fees which they title as "reverse gas". Over the past year $ICP has expanded their services to a variety of other sectors. With one of the most significant being their partnership with the Municipality of Lugano for blockchain adoption. Additionally Roland Berger, a global consulting firm has partnered with Internet Computer to build blockchain based recycling standards.
