Cody’s biggest story was him winning the title that his father never won. That story was gonna be massive regardless of who was champion. Ya water down Cody’s journey and polarizing connection with the fans and impact on the industry to fit your narrative lol. Then he went on to beat Jey 3 times and beat Sami in EC. Even when Sami won at NOC it was from pinning Solo so Roman can again protect his image. Even let Jey pin him only from a low blow to again protect his image.

That was all under him while he was still main eventing over others. Sami and Jey main evented as long as it was under him and the BL. He brought Sami in because he knew it would benefit the story he was trying to tell. Cody became who he was in spite of Roman not because of Roman. Them changing the WM 39 plans forcing Cody to do random programming for the rest of 2023 and then almost getting his spot stolen from him in 2024 Stop acting like Roman cared to help make Cody what he is today. The fans connection with Cody did that. Roman couldn’t care less about Cody. Cena stopped main eventing consistently in 2013 and went completely part time in 2016-2017
