Ferguson v Guardiola? No contest. Whisky nose saw Wenger, saw Mourinho and thought "cheeky bastards", dug in and took 'his' trophy back. Pep loses two, to Slot and Arteta, and it's "ooo my energy's run out". He lacks the stubborn belligerent streak Ferguson had.

@lancekthompson I can't remember what show it was on, but Jean Boht, who played Nellie Boswell in Bread, said she always struggled with the fact that people found Bread to be mocking while they adored Boys From The Blackstuff, even though both shows dealt with similar issues about 80s Liverpool.

Mad this because when I wrote an article about Liverpool on telly, it was heavily implied I was some kind of unconscious misogynist for leaving out Carla Kane's stuff. I'm too young to remember, but everyone from here seems to think it was shite?

@MiguelDelaney Liverpool had a goal disallowed for offside in 71/72 at Arsenal in their final game of the season with 2 minutes to play and would have won the game had it stood - would have given Liverpool the league rather than Derby County.

I loved that 99/00 season. First time in my life we’d looked defensively sound. Missing out on Champions League at the end but sliding door moment to win the UEFA Cup in 01. I don’t reckon these three positions even result in shots these days. Look what the nerds took from us.
