@MallikaJoseph A series of reasons I guess, amoung which, government's illegitimate repressive measurements is one. Also, the discourse on prioritising the economic recovery over political freedom is becoming popular. Aragalaya is in a different stage now.

Good overview. However, the government making people choose between civic space and political agenda is not new. Today it is economic recovery. Earlier it was the reconciliation and devolution. Before that the war. But what sets aragalaya apart?
