The wives in our seminary community are a tremendous blessing to their husbands, their families, and our school. Their faithfulness bears fruit far beyond what is often seen.
Today’s graduation is not only a milestone for our students, but for the faithful wives who have prayed, sacrificed, encouraged, and persevered alongside them. We thank the Lord for these godly women.
To me this picture captures what is special about @GPTSeminary: the relationship of the faculty to the students. It is the most common thing students are thankful for. Profs know the students & they love them. Students get to know the profs & they learn to love Christ more.
This evening we got to enjoy a special time of fellowship with our graduates and their families, faculty and staff, and the board of trustees. We are grateful for moments like these!
And just like that, our Spring semester has come to an end. These brothers have put in a lot of hard work this semester while also balancing their responsibilities outside of the seminary. Leading families, filling pulpits, welcoming newborns; and yet the Lord’s grace is sufficient. Please continue to pray for our brothers as they break for the summer.
We give thanks to God for these graduates.

This morning, our graduating class met with Dr. Master to reflect, discuss, and pray about their time at Greenville Seminary. Although it is bitter sweet to see them finish this season with us, we rejoice in what the Lord has done in their lives and what he has in store for them in their future ministries.
Join us at the 2026 PCA General Assembly in Louisville, KY for lunch! At this year’s luncheon, we are looking forward to sitting down with Ian Hamilton and asking him some questions about a long-term ministry, reflecting on a lifetime of faithful service in Christ’s church. Attendees will receive a complimentary copy of a new edition of Morton Smith’s Harmony of the Westminster Confession and Catechisms. Seating is limited; we encourage you to register soon.

Each year, Greenville Seminary hosts a limited cohort of pastors and church leaders from Tuesday – Thursday, in Greenville, SC, for intensive seminars designed to assist the church in fulfilling the Great Commission. This mid-week event is led by pastor-theologians and experienced leaders in international missions. It is intentionally limited to a small cohort of men for the purpose of fostering fellowship, discussions, and mutual encouragement in making Christ known among the nations.

A common objection to the work of foreign missions is that the church should not send their best and brightest to reach unbelievers around the world when they have so many needs at home. Yet, Chad Vegas points out that nothing is more impactful for the spiritual growth of the local church than seeing some of their own forsake their own lives to bring the gospel to the world. While some fear that sending gifted ministers, members, and financial resources overseas will impoverish local churches, Vegas contends that missionary work enlarges the church’s vision, deepens generosity, inspires future ministers, and renews zeal for the gospel both abroad and at home.

Why Seminary?
1. God is calling you to Gospel ministry.
2. That call is confirmed by your elders.
3. The church is in need of more pastors.
4. The Lord of the harvest is faithful.
In partnership with the church, a seminary exists to train men for Gospel ministry.
