@HouseGOP @WhiteHouse What the hell kind of Republican can’t fight to not screw over vets! I can’t believe I’m on the side of the democrats representing Colorado, and not a single republican is standing up for these veterans.

Let me say something that no one in Washington has the spine to say out loud. There are approximately 52,000 combat-wounded, medically retired veterans losing between $1,200 and $1,900 EVERY SINGLE MONTH because Congress — YOUR Congress, Republicans included — will not pass the Major Richard Star Act (H.R. 2102). That is not a rounding error. That is between $14,400 and $22,800 PER YEAR stolen from a person who lost limbs, lungs, and years of their life in your wars. Now here is the part that should make you physically ill. 780 of those veterans die EVERY YEAR. Burn pit cancer. TBI complications. PTSD. The same wounds that ended their careers are now ending their lives. And here is what Congress knows and will not say: EVERY VETERAN WHO DIES BEFORE THIS BILL PASSES IS ONE FEWER MONTHLY CHECK THE GOVERNMENT EVER HAS TO WRITE. The pool shrinks by over 1,600 veterans per year. The bill gets cheaper every single year it is delayed. And you have 300+ House co-sponsors — including @SpeakerJohnson, @SteveScalise, and @GOPMajorityWhip — who signed their names to this bill and will not sign the discharge petition (H.Res. 1247) to force a vote. That is not fiscal conservatism. That is a DEATH CLOCK STRATEGY. You already fixed this for 20-year retirees back in 2004. The ONLY difference between those veterans and these 52,000 is that combat injuries ended their careers too early. You took their legs. You took their lungs. And now you are taking their retirement — and waiting for time to take the rest. 📞 Demand your Republican House member sign H.Res. 1247. TODAY. But what do I know — I am only a medically retired Army combat medic who watched men come home in pieces and now watches Congress pick their pockets while they wait to attend their funerals. @MajorStarAct @StarActEnemies #MajorRichardStarAct #MAGA #Veterans
