When Eric Chelle first came in, he talked about using video sessions to engage the players. Many people just heard it and moved on, me sef think say baba no too sabi, but looking back now, you can see how intentional that was. The guy know his craft. He was teaching the players his football ideas, structure, patterns and what he expects from them in different phases of the game…. Goodness he was found around talent that interprets his ideas What amazes me is how quickly the team picked it up. No matter who is available, you still see the same movements, the same pressing patterns, the same understanding of space and positioning. That's not luck, that's coaching. His style doesn’t pamper player, if they know they play well, if they don’t, the loose badly…(CHAN eagles) In international football where coaches barely have enough time with players, getting that level of tactical understanding so quickly is not normal…. Bro! The biggest compliment you can give a coach is that you can clearly see what his team is trying to do. Right now, you can see it with the Super Eagles. That man is a serious coach. For me, I still think we need more bodies in the midfield & the qualities must match Ndidi, Iwobi & Onyeka. Alhassan, Nnadi & Onyedika must keep the first burning & once we have a major injury or suspension in the midfield, we must not suffer like we did against Morocco. Eric Chelle still has alot to do.

🚨THOUGHTS 💭 NIGERIAN “MARCELO” : WHY ERIC CHELLE MUST RECONSIDER. In my opinion, I think Keneth Igboke “Marcelo” of 🔴Enugu Rangers should be ahead of Zaidu Sanusi of Porto in the left back position. Igboke gives us incredible value offensively and defensively. He’s very versatile and can adapt tactically. He’s the best left back in the Nigerian league too, with the best defensive record in the league.

I laugh when I see people saying Eric Chelle's style is the best thing to happen to Nigeria Football in recent times. Super Eagles🇳🇬🦅 most exciting brand of football was under Eguavoen. I agree Chelle is currently doing well, but his style was never the best we have seen in recent times.
