🚨SCHOOL RECORD ALERT 🚨 The team of Mekhi Foster ‘26, Marius Hunter-Trujillo ‘26, Nate Martinez ‘26, and Benji Contarino ‘25 broke the school record in the 4x400m, running 3:27.41 at the NJ Group I State Championships to take 4th place.

🔥HIS NAME IS BENJI CONTARINO🔥 Benji resets his school record in the 400m finishing 3rd in the NJ Group I State Championships His time of 49.83 bested his previous mark of 49.99 in some tough racing conditions. Congrats Benji! #WeAreGateway @grhsgators

During her outdoor season, Pam would run 10:59.25 in the 3200, which was the SJ Record at the time until broken by Doreen Startare of Paul VI in 1978. Pam’s time is still the 10th best time in Gloucester County history and top 50 in SJ history.

Pam Adams ‘76 is one of the legends of Gateway Track and Field who made a name for herself on the state level after the passage of Title IX and remains a staunch supporter of the program. #WeAreGateway @GRHSGators @SJTrack

During the Indoor Track season of 1976, Pam broke the SJ Indoor record in the mile at then Widener College with a time of 5:23.6. This would hold as the SJ record until 1979 when it was broken by Williamstown’s Eva Marie Berardi.
