The 2024 Cluster Hub workshop was a great opportunity for all projects to present their results and discuss their methodologies for sourcing and recovery of #battery materials🔋 Colleagues from Université de Neuchâtel presented about #Lithium biorecovery using microbial activity.

Last month, the #EGSUGEG met at the ELGIP Congress in Łódź, Poland. The event included a workshop on #urbangeology and a 600m visit to the Kłodawa salt mines. 🧭In light of recent events, raising awareness of geological risks is key to building safer, more resilient cities.🏙️

The GSB was also actively present at MetSoc 2024 with Marleen Ceukelaire, Sophie Decrée, Thierry Leduc, Gabriel Pinto and Thomas Goovaerts. They presented the conservation-curation of our Institute. For more info on the events: metsoc2024.brussels metsoc2024.brussels/workshop/

Last weekend the Annual Meeting of the Meteoritical Society 2024 started with a successful Curation Workshop at our Institute @nat_sciences_be organised by Aurore Hutzler & Tomohiro Usui. We enjoyed the participation of @NASA, @esa and @JAXA_en.

To study settlement of the European flat oyster, we installed custom-made spat collectors in the 🇧🇪 North Sea in June '24. Reconciling oyster cultivation with nature restoration is the ultimate goal. More @ shorturl.at/Wh3dp @ultfarms @ugent_fwe @HowBigIsBelgica @EMBRC_EU
