It’s Girl Scout Day! We’re delighted to celebrate the curiosity that inspires young people to solve problems & invent solutions. In 2014, we launched an IP Patch for @girlscouts with @GSCNC & @IPO. As of 2024, more than 3,859 patches have been awarded to hard-working scouts.

World Thinking Day 25 This year, Troop 3089 @MetropolitanAME @GSCNC taught about the country of Nigeria. Girl Scouts of the USA is part of a global community of about 150 countries in the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS). It's a fun occasion to learn.

Troop 3089 & 2613 @MetropolitanAME @GSCNC @girlscouts working at the food bank. They bagged groceries, sort products, and assisted recipients in retrieving their groceries.

When the camping trip is so fun you're already planning for next year 🤩 Girl Scout Troop 15112 had an EPIC adventure at Camp White Rock! From scavenger hunts to nailing it in archery, trading SWAPs, making gooey s’mores, and best of all—making awesome new friends!

Making tree-mendous memories! 🌳🌰 Girl Scout Troop 1273 spent the weekend at Brighton Woods, collecting acorns for the Maryland Dept of Forestry and earning our Tree Promise patch! 🌲💚

Last weekend, Girl Scouts joined our CEO, Kim R. Ford, and an incredible team mentors at Camp CEO held at Camp Potomac Woods! Together, they shared a weekend of exploring their leadership skills, personal development and a love of the outdoors! ✨🌲

Today @MetropolitanAME troop 3089 and 2613 @girlscouts @GSCNC held our rededication and investiture ceremony. Today leaders along with the girls, participated in a tradition to celebrate our traditions that renew members' commitment to the Girl Scout Promise and Law.

Girl Scout Troop 55103 is shooting for the stars 🌟 After studying light pollution, completing their Citizen Scientist journey and earning the Summit Award, these go-getter Girl Scouts took a magical trip to Sky Meadows Park to gaze at the stars ✨🌌

Last night, I had the privilege of attending a celebration hosted by the @GSCNC to honor their new President and CEO, Kim R Ford. She has always been dedicated to empowering young people, & in this new role, she will focus on nurturing girls of courage, confidence, & character who will contribute to making the world a better place.

Not your average Back to School night 🎒📚 Girl Scouts from troops 34173, 42161 and 50296 joined our @gscncceo Kim R. Ford at the White House to celebrate the beginning of the new school year by sharing their first day of school photos and hanging out on the South Lawn!

Last week, I had the opportunity to speak on an amazing panel at the Girl Scouts Nation’s Capital Election Connection Patch Workshop. This event informs Girl Scouts about the election process and encourages them to engage the community about the importance of voting!! #WeAreDC

Going back to their Girl Scout roots! Girl Scout troop 10028 traveled to Savannah, Georgia to visit the birthplace of Girl Scout founder Juliette Gordon Low to celebrate their bridging from Juniors to Cadettes!

Bullseye! 🎯 Girl Scout Troop 15099 had a blast at the Brownie Junior Camporee at Camp White Rock this summer, spending their time outdoors doing target sports and ending their night with a Barbie themed dance party 💃🩷
