Phillis Wheatley Elementary’ Girl Scout Troop 2524 wrapped up Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week on a heartfelt note! Our Girl Scouts presented all teachers and staff with beautiful keychain bracelets as a small token of appreciation for the big impact they make every single day.

We kicked off Miami Climate Week by doing a forest cleanup and planting native flowers at Little House Girl Scouts Camp in South Miami. Thanks to @MayorDaniella and @SoMiamiGov for joining us, and to Miami Climate 365, @GSCTF and Dream In Green for making it a success.

At today’s meeting, our Girl Scouts completed activities for their Brownie Budget Builder & Junior Budget Maker badges. The girls learned how to: Tell the difference between wants and needs; Create a simple spending and saving plan (budget); and Set goals to manage their money.
