It’s 8 years since Tuk lost his life when his microchip wasn’t scanned
It’s still not a legal requirement to scan & sadly others have also died this way

Since 2021 we’ve been contacted to help over 30 dogs euthanised with rescue back up registration on microchips or presented by persons not registered on the microchip as the keeper.
9 vets and 3 others have responded to the consultation.

When @VictoriaPrentis promised us the government would watch how pet abandonment effected rescues coming out the pandemic it didn’t happen

In 2013, a call came who wanted her 13mnth GSD gone. I fostered Jacob who instantly became a WOW within 2 Police dog sections, yes I failed and #adopted him. Sadly today 13 years and 1 month old, Jacob peacefully fell asleep in his Dad's arms. What a #Dog #RescueDog xx Wayne
