Most people in DeFi are playing the APY leaderboard game. “Where’s the highest yield?” 20% 40% 100% But almost nobody asks the real question: What’s the risk behind that yield? Two strategies can show the same APY… Yet one could carry: • high volatility • liquidity risk • impermanent loss • emissions that disappear next month And suddenly that “high yield” wasn’t so attractive. Smart capital doesn’t chase numbers. It looks for risk-adjusted returns. Sometimes a stable ~8.5% yield beats a flashy 25% APY that collapses in a few weeks.
