2:26:28 in Valencia - 7th* on the all-time UK women’s marathon rankings 🤩 I had a dream marathon: Low heart rate, minimal cardiac drift & groups to hide in! Huge congrats @cockram_natasha What a run! *I was in super shoes & half the top 10 all-time runs were without springs

What a HUGE achievement. George and I have been friends and training partners since we first met when she was 14 and I was 28 and without realising it taught me how to really hurt in races. She epitomises hard work, patience and perseverance and I couldn’t be prouder!

As a female endurance athlete I am insulted by the suggestion that my physiology means that I cannot/should not race the same distance as a male athlete.

@lucyfrancis_tri @lucygoss @tomwilliams1974 Or have "short course" and "long course" XC races available to both sexes... and let athletes race over the distance/s which suits their physiology.... not the one that they are told suits their gender best... because in running... that isn't actually a thing 🙄
