the ‘hip hop twitter’ engagement accounts on here are literally only talking about 5% of hip hop history over and over again - this genre is incredible and massive and they’re choosing to be as reductive and basic as possible

I couldn't watch it in English. The voices where just so off.
I had to do the subtitles all the way through. Was one of the best series I've watched though

@robpursey @_tim_burke Man I’m starting to go back down the rabbit hole …. reminded me of PSD too. This album is a classic to me but a bit heavy to listen to regularly

@_tim_burke Yea Kansas. Tbh I couldn’t tell you what would be considered a classic or go-to from him … he’s not really an “album” rapper, at least not for me, but he releases tons of music and there are gems sprinkled all over them with smooth production

@_tim_burke @robpursey Saw your post about Thizz … many many albums to check out but first one that comes to mind today is Johnny Ca$h’s Thizz Nation album. Not sure if you’ve ever gotten into early day Livewire (Bay Area label) stuff, definitely worth checking out
