Take-Two CEO reveals GTA 6 will have a very significant broad based marketing campaign that reflects where audiences and attention is today.
He says it won’t resemble the approach taken for GTA 5 back in 2013:
“13 years ago we were still buying network television. We won't be buying a lot of network television.”

Take-Two Interactive holds its quarterly earnings call today.
We’re finally gonna hear official news about GTA 6 and potentially from Rockstar ahead of the call. Stay tuned.
Take-Two’s earnings call takes place today.
GTA 6 will be confirmed as still on track for its November 19 release date.
Rockstar could also announce new GTA 6 information, as they’ve done in the past with major updates.
The circulating 4chan leak about GTA 6 being delayed to Feb 2027 is obviously fake and baseless.
Strauss Zelnick reaffirmed November 19 in an interview earlier this week.
Some people argue that he did the same before the last delay, which is not true.
The last time Strauss reaffirmed May 26 was 2 months before the delay and the earnings call, and there were already rumblings from multiple insiders about a delay back then.
Unlike the May 26 release date, we have numerous signs that November 19 is locked in:
- Marketing is confirmed for summer, and they don’t spend money on it unless they’re confident
- Not a single reliable insider heard rumblings about a delay
- Strauss said many people will call in sick on November 19 and showed confidence in his numerous recent interviews
- Sony highlighted the game in their new earnings call and sent PS4 players emails to upgrade to PS5 for GTA 6
- Reputable insiders don’t believe another delay is happening and that this release date feel more real than previous ones
- Holiday season is ideal for sales and Take-Two wouldn’t miss it by delaying it again
- There was a report of crunch, and this usually happens during the final stretch of development
- A team from Rockstar North also posted that they didn’t participate in a racing event this year due to being busy with the game coming in November
Make a choice:
GTA 6 Trailer 3 drops right now, but the game gets delayed by a month.
OR
No new trailer at all, but GTA 6 still releases on November 19.
GTA 6 marketing starts this summer, coinciding with the World Cup, an event watched by billion around the world with more viewers than the Super Bowl.
Miami will host 7 matches including the bronze final and quarterfinal in June/July.
It just makes perfect sense for Rockstar to start displaying billboards and murals around the city during such a global event, and we could even see something like a TV commercial with “Pre-order now” airing during halftime.
