This is GTA 4 with the FusionFix mod installed, and I also downloaded other mods like Potential Grim VPA and my favorite mod, Animated Weapons 3.0, is installed. FusionFix is the biggest GTA 4 mod and it is basically recommended as mandatory for those who want to play on PC. Since GTA 6 is coming out, some people have started the GTA HD universe trilogy in order: GTA 4, GTA 5, and GTA 6 all take place in the HD universe, so it’s the perfect time to start the trilogy. I also downloaded mods for GTA 5; there is the Liberty Preservation mod. I already knew that Rockstar would ban against mods, but at least I kept the file saved for myself. If you want to mod, you need OpenIV for GTA 4, GTA 5, and RDR 2.

@Libertonian12 Are these screenshots of GTA 4 with FusionFix, or do you have other mods installed as well?

GTA 4 PC version is quite lacking; it has issues with shading, lighting, and gamma, and literally some textures are missing. It’s such a bad port, a classic example of Rockstar’s bad PC ports before GTA 5, but this is the worst one. With mods, the things that are on console can be added back.The FusionFix I downloaded both adds new graphical features—for example, it adds volumetric fog like in GTA 5, which greatly increases the draw distance—and it also adds the car-centered camera like in GTA 5. At the same time, it restores the graphical features that were supposed to be on console. It’s a useful mod; it’s always recommended for GTA 4, and basically it’s recommended as mandatory.

@Libertonian12 The graphics are like those on PS3/Xbox360. I heard there are a bunch of mods that bring the PC version of GTA 4 closer to those classic graphics.

@GTAexpert_01 No, on PC there is a video editor specially added for the GTA 4 PC port; it is the primitive version of the current Rockstar Editor. But because the PC port is extremely bad, it cannot be accessed properly, so downloading mods is necessary.

@Libertonian12 Were the GTA 4 screenshots taken on Xbox Series X?

@GTAexpert_01 I play on PC sometimes, I play on Xbox Series X sometimes, but I mostly play on PC.

2/2 But judging by the screenshots and trailers, GTA 6 looks like it’s taking things even further: more accurate body proportions, skin and fur that closely match real-life animals, improved animations, and greater depth in behavior and small details.

Florida Keys in GTA 6 and The Crew 2

Two of my GTA ladies. Always loved painting the GTA ladies. The brief at Rockstar for each different game was always: “make the art style look the same but different…” It was a crazy challenge but we always made it work, look at these 2 styles - same but different - even without text you’d recognize immediately that they were from Rockstar, and what city and era the game was set in, and that they were different games. Rockstar are genius!
