I hope these ppl aren’t serious but I think they are tho, maybe it’s appealing to a certain section of Irish society but under a communist republic ppl would have a right to an abortion as a matter of choice, regardless of what some politician or cardinal had to say about it

There were 10,850 abortions in Ireland last year. The highest ever number in this state. However. Many mothers did not go ahead with an abortion because of the three day reflection period. The Soc Dems want to remove the reflection period.

@PV_1985 Well that too yes, they exist everywhere, not like it’s just an Irish problem, I’m sure aontu could only dream of having the kind of Supreme Court Donald trumps republicans have put in place, and he’s a well known representative of moral probity

@PV_1985 There’s a constituency for conservative Catholicism I guess…they seem to have a certain amount of traction, but I think they’re basically splitters from Sinn Fein, because Sinn Fein wasn’t 16th century enough (or something), like a counter revolution to the provo woke mob (?)
