I think I remember saying to somebody ranting the other day that there is a Venn diagram between communism and a belief in god, and that is humanity, and I don’t think that’s crazy, capitalism has no belief in humanity, or god

Not everyone is a church of Ireland communist revolutionary from magheragall, but at some point you do start to wonder if you’re going to have to live under capitalism all your life, and then you start believing in god

I hope these ppl aren’t serious but I think they are tho, maybe it’s appealing to a certain section of Irish society but under a communist republic ppl would have a right to an abortion as a matter of choice, regardless of what some politician or cardinal had to say about it

@PV_1985 There’s a constituency for conservative Catholicism I guess…they seem to have a certain amount of traction, but I think they’re basically splitters from Sinn Fein, because Sinn Fein wasn’t 16th century enough (or something), like a counter revolution to the provo woke mob (?)
