@CrisKnowsBall@therealsime0n@DRealDee2 You really know ball. These guys already tagged me as an Arsenal fan because I told them we can't use counter-attacking football against a team with a low block.
They said it worked against Arsenal 😂 😂
@iamshadoolee@DRealDee2 Omo, a team can not have 50% ball possession and still be in a low block.
In a low block, you don't even have the ball. You just close spaces, block passing lanes, cover the box, stay compact and then be patient to catch the other team on the break.
@GU_Chikaa@DRealDee2 So you mean they can’t press? So is that not a low block?
I wonder if you understand what low block means in a defensive position in football?
You can have over 50% possession in football and still be playing sideways inside your own half without progressing.
@eric_442@DRealDee2 So they should press you for the entire 90 minutes even when they are winning?
Even PSG no press Bayern like that for the semi-final second leg.
But I get your point sha.
@GU_Chikaa@DRealDee2 For bigger parts of the game, the score didn't favor them factoring in the fact that they were chasing the title.
Same way they started the game pressing with 4 men at the front and sat back when they got the goal
@GU_Chikaa@DRealDee2 My argument is that they sat in a low - mid block whenever they did not have the ball.
You can have 60% of the ball but whenever the opponent touches the ball, you are back to your low block, whatever that is called is what Arsenal did against Man United.
@kenechx@DRealDee2 Everything you said here is what I said in the post you responded to.
Next season, Man Utd will want to win the league, a team will need a draw to stay safe and Man Utd will need 3 points to keep the march on.
There will be no excuses.
@GU_Chikaa@DRealDee2 Oga your opinion is trash.
You have no clue. Imagine selecting games like sunderland where we changed more than half the squad away and still didn’t lose after reaching our objective for the season. Or WestHam who were battling relegation.
@GU_Chikaa@DRealDee2 Why didn’t City beat Everton or Villa or Spurs or Chelsea in the first leg? Do they struggle too vs low blocks? Do you even have any idea what a mid block is?
Did your Ferguson win every game? What sort of retarded thinking is this?
@kenechx@DRealDee2 Did you break them down? Did you win?
Next season when we want to win the league, a goal-line clearance away at Everton, Hull, Fulham, etc will not be an excuse for not walking away with maximum points.
@ZeeROGBA This is not even a block. Arsenal pressed here, waiting for an opportunity to catch us on the break, we didn't make a mistake, so there was no break for them.
Scored despite their block.
This is something consistent with Carrick's style of play. Quick combination of passes in tight spaces to generate attacking opportunities. We see it in many games. Mainoo has been crucial to this.
@ZeeROGBA You call this a low block?
Next season is not far away again walai.
Those away games at Everton, Fulham, Forest, Leeds, I just hope these combination passes come through because it's in these matches that the league is won
Those combination of passes were also used to get themselves out of difficult situations. Pairing Mainoo with an elite passer in tight spaces will even make this even better.
@therealsime0n@DRealDee2 Arsenal can never park the bus against United.
United beat Arsenal in patterns and in Transition.
Arsenal defended as a unit against Man Utd, against PSG, they parked the bus.
@kenechx@DRealDee2 What happened against West Ham, Leeds, and Sunderland?
Well, we just wanted to qualify for the UCL, I hope we don't have this issue when we are trying to win the league next season, because the low blocks will definitely be there.
Those games where you just score 1 and win.
